Character Description
Physical Appearance(s): In his human form Arsene keeps himself relatively young looking, a french man with orange-ish hair that resembles a morning sun, with a pencil thin mustache. Typically wearing semi-formal attire, such as a simple black suit, but will change outfits as the job demands. He is lean, slightly tall, and has a frail face that is easy to manipulate for disguises.
In his demon form Arsene is the essence of a Gentlemen and a Thief. Gold embellishments upon his suit, a top hat resting securely atop his head, a mask that hides his features but radiates smug confidence.
Personality: Unlike the majority of demons, Arsene enjoys humanity, for he views them as being able to create works which demons simply can’t replicate. The heart and soul they pour into their artworks, their paintings, and stories are all unmatched in his eyes…Just like the delight he gets from watching an emperor’s vast empire crumble or their fortune vanish. Besides the desire to rob the upper echelon blind and watch those beneath them rise, Arsene is a gentlemen befitting his image. He has a code which he abides to for targets and how to handle situations, refusing to give into his base urges, no matter how tempting or primal they may be. Though he still likes to tease and prod, to rile up his opponents and watch them stumble after him, he can take some enjoyment out of the quiet days. For if every day became adventure, the adventures would turn quite dull.
Backstory
Backstory
Arsene was, at first, a nameless demon who arrived in france at the onset of the 19th century. In his pursuit for both an identity and satisfaction, he came across a young Maurice Leblanc who unintentionally gave the shapeless demon a chance. Maurice was a poor child of a sick house servant, who desired a chance at getting her a better life. The nameless demon granted this wish, being the child’s shadow and guiding him to the manor’s vast riches to steal for himself. This single heist served as inspiration for Maurice to strike it rich, not as a thief but a writer. And who better to base his stories off of, then the friend who granted his mother and himself freedom. Now names held vast amounts of power in various mythologies and the simple moniker ‘Arsene’ served to give a spark to the demonic powder keg. It quickly became difficult to tell whether Maurice was basing his books off the exploits of ‘Arsene’ or Arsene was taking inspiration from these tales. Either way the fame and popularity of his exploits and Maurice’s books fed off each other and allowed him to crawl up the first steps to becoming a proper demon. He carried the title of his partner in crime and character with the greatest pride, wanting to uphold it and rise above the rest, while making sure to leave no pockets unpicked in his wake.
Eventually his exploits found him residing in Transylvania, hearing about the rising of a brotherhood. The idea of joining them just happened to tickle his fancy, it had been a while since he had last had a partner and if turned boring…Well they surely had to have a treasure or two they could do without.

Equipment
Name: Manners
Description: A durable cane of blackened wood, looking almost charred from the right angle, with a curved handle on top. The origin of it changes constantly depending on his whim. Sometimes he says it’s a gift from his author, a representation of his code, or that he stole it from Sparda himself.
Rank: D
Traits: N/A
Combat Foci
Name: Thievery
Description: Lupin’s style is a dangerous and almost foolish game of using his reflexes to dodge an opponent’s attacks while staying right inside their personal space, using sleight of hand and distractions to plant tricks and traps created with conjuration around them or on their person. It’s not a style made to win a fight, but frustrate or delay his opponent enough to allow him to escape.
