Traits are among the most important aspects of a character. They are passive characteristics of a character that give them some sort of physical advantage.
Traits can originate from a character's body or be the result of magic applied to the character's body; they are also exclusively physical in nature even if the origin is magical.
For example, having amazing memory is not a viable Trait because it's esclusively a mental skill with no physical advantage; you can include this in the narrative description of your character without issue.
Traits aren't bought. Every character gains 2 new Traits every time their Rank increases.
When applying for a Trait or for any upgrade to an existing Technique, you must use the template found in this section. The Divinity Statue is the place where to post your application; if you have never created a thread there, you are allowed to create one. This thread will be valid for all your Characters.

Demons are usually master shapeshifters. Humans have learned, over time, to harness the Gate of Transmutation to alter their physical form. Constructs may have been created to specifically change shape, and some weapons and even Devil Arms have shape altering abilities.
As a Trait, Shape-shifting allows your character to swap between two appearances. These appearances are equivalent from a technical point of view, and your character may retain all of their powers between them. However, in some cases, you may want to gain some extra advantage from this shapeshifting behaviour, such as gaining natural weapons or making use of an increased strength or size.
If your character has the Shape-shifting Trait, they can take advantage of it in two ways. First, you may create Aspects based off of shapeshifting abilities - for example, you may want to create an Aspect to transform into a select group of mammals or other animals, or one to turn your body parts into sharp weapons or other objects. This Aspect needs to be housed in a Combat Focus, as usual. This is a perfectly normal ruling, as Aspects often do come from Traits.
Alternatively, as a special ruling, you can buy additional forms the same way you would buy Crafted Arms (with the Upgrade Points system).
You can list the form under Crafted Arms, and you will be able to use any Trait-like or Aspect-like upgrades you put on this form as Traits and Aspects. However, you will lose any and all Traits and Aspects your character would normally have, for as long as they are transformed.
All the rules (including special rulings) just established for Character Traits apply to Devil Arm Traits and Trait-like Upgrades of Crafted Arms. Of course, some Traits that make sense for characters don't make sense for Arms and vice versa, but some can be adapted.
