Humans are by far the most "successful" animal species on Earth. They have colonised nearly every location on the planet, establishing civilisations that have lasted for thousands of years.
Not only have they taken hold of most of the planet, they invented technology and harnessed the laws of physics themselves in order to make their quality of life increasingly better over the ages. Nowadays, humans have at their disposal absolute wonders of technology that almost feel like godlike powers: the ability to communicate near-instantly with almost any other human, the ability to quickly and significantly alter their environment to suit their needs, the ability to transform materials into finished products en masse.
While it's easy to sing praises for humans due to their history, it's also necessary to remind ourselves of all the atrocities, and all the suffering that these creatures have caused. Most importantly, wars among humans have shaped the boundaries of countries, ended civilisations, and shifted the balance of power.
In spite of everything, Humans have shaped the world they live in. While most humans will never have any experience of the Demon World, there is a large portion of them that belong to some faction of Devil Hunters, or otherwise come into contact with the world of demons directly. Many of these special people have some affinity with the demonic power of magic.
Appearance-wise, Humans share a lot of features. This is because their biology is based on the same repeating pattern, the DNA, with minor changes from one human to the next. Throughout history humans have developed ways to alter their physical appearance and express themselves; especially in recent years, humans have achieved a lot of freedom in how they want their bodies to look like.
Humans have a lifespan of roughly 90 years, although some throughout myths and legends have lived far beyond that.
A Demon (often also "Devil") is a creature that inhabits the Demon World. Humans can count many different myths that relate to the world of the demons - in these myths, the Demon World is commonly referred to as "Hell" and it is also usually connected to death and spirituality. These myths first formed with Mundus' first invasion of the Human World several millennia ago.
The Demon World occupies the same point in space as the Human World, but in a different dimension. The entity that separates the two Worlds is known as the Veil. Hell Gates are points of contact between the two worlds, and are also called "Tears of the Veil".
Most versions of "the otherworld" from human myths and legends can be found in the Demon World, in different locations according to where on Earth the myth originates from. On the flip side, demons see the human world as a sort of "paradise": a beautiful world, ripe with resources, where every demon can enter to satiate their ambitions and find their happiness.
Demons have a great affinity for magic, as magic is quite abundant in the Demon World. Their physical appearance is extremely varied, as their biology is heavily influenced by magic; their appearance might even reflect which Gate of Magic they are most familiar with. Their body shape may be humanoid, theriomorphic, insectoid, serpentine, ornithomorphic or anything in between and beyond these. Normally the most powerful demons tend to have humanoid bodies, but often that is the result of shape-shifting magic. The lifespan of demons can vary greatly and depends on their demonic powers, however most demons don't live longer than 500 years.
While many demons are ambitious and have an innate desire to accumulate more power, they are not necessarily hostile to humans. On the contrary, many of them are friendly, benevolent or harmless towards humans; it's not even true that all demons have a fearsome appearance as well. Some choose to appear as regular humans, and some choose to appear formidable depending on their circumstances.
When two different races come into contact, there is always some exchange between them. This exchange can be cultural, it can be economical, and often times, it can be social. When the demons came to the Human World during the demon invasion, some of them wrecked havoc and acted in hostility towards humans. Others, who didn't have any intentions of harming the humans, integrated with the social structures on Earth instead.
From this integration were born many half-bloods: half-humans, half-demons. Half-bloods retain a humanoid appearance, but their affinity for demonic power and magic is much greater than any regular Human; they inherit some of the abilities of their parents, although if they are raised in a human-only environment it may take a considerable amount of effort to tap into the demonic power within them. Alternative names have been used for half-bloods throughout history: hybrids, half-demons, Cambions, Nephilim.
Half-bloods are very valuable subjects of study for all those organisations that research demons; most Devil Hunters are quite interested in recruiting half-bloods for different reasons. However, because of their close association with demons, they are marginalised in all those human societies that antagonise such entities.
"Half-blood" may also refer to individuals that have a demon grandparent or farther removed ancestor. As long as the demonic heritage is comparable to the human one, the individual is considered a half-blood.
By "Constructs" we mean all those entities that exist as a result of another creature's artifice. This includes but is not limited to: robots, cyborgs, possessed objects, homunculi, chimeras.
Needless to say, this race is extremely varied and includes creatures of many different types. Much like demons, there are endless combinations of factors that contribute to their appearance: not only can their body shapes, appearance and powers differ drastically, they can even be made out of different materials and not have a biological body at all.
Despite this incredible variety, Constructs all have in common the fact that they simply would not exist had they not been created by an intelligent mind. Moreover, they all have in common that in order to maintain their existence they need some sort of fuel, or energy source. This energy source is both a weakness and a strength, because it greatly simplifies the way their bodies work; a simple body is much easier to repair than a complex, organic one.
On the other hand, depending on some source to fuel their existence means they will die as soon as this source is snuffed out. These "fuel sources" can come in many flavours: they can be miniature engines fitted into the body of the Construct, or they can be magical catalysts where their soul resides.
Note that having some artificial body parts doesn't necessarily imply that the character be considered a Construct. However, if you feel like the Construct race would be the best fit for your character, you're free to choose it.

[attr="class","bar_left"]Healing Factor
Your body innately and unconsciously uses magic to restore any damage done to it. This is an instinctive reaction that tries to keep the abstract shape of your body (i.e. your soul) intact as much as possible.
While you can feel pain just like any other human, your wounds simply heal much quicker than them. Even better, your regenerative factor is so amped up that you can easily regrow lost limbs and survive being stabbed in the chest.
Remember that your stamina isn't unlimited, and that there's things one would wish not to survive from.

[attr="class","bar_left"]Energy Source
Your body runs on some kind of fuel, engine or other energy source. You can easily shrug off having pieces torn off you, have them wither away or be rendered useless. Your pain perception is limited, if it even exists.
As long as your energy source isn't destroyed or tampered with in any way, you cannot die or otherwise be defeated.
However, this source cannot be rendered invulnerable or untouchable by any means, and it must have a specific weakness that others can exploit to damage you. This weakness must be described in the text of this Trait.
