Three big pigs and a flock of sheep

In London, the city was growing dark. The shops would still be open for a few hours, but not too much longer. It was 7 PM, and the shops closed at 8 PM.

John was relaxing in the town square, watching the city as people were bustling to get home. But he knew once it got dark things would get dangerous. Another reason people were in a rush to get home.

There had been several deaths, and people going missing. The results were extremely gruesome, and even small groups of people were not safe. People were not sure what to make of what was found though. The best way the deaths could be described might have been, "They looked like they had been hit by a wrecking ball." Since what little was left of the victims was generally compared to meat being put through an old grinder.

No one paid attention to the man sitting on the bench, which was all for the best since soon enough he was going to need to slay some demons. And the fewer people there were wandering the streets of London, the better.

There was something about the streets of London. The people, during the day, were so lively. They filled the streets, the sidewalks, the shops, and they could be seen and heard, chatting with each other, over their cell phones, getting into black cabs and enjoying their day. Tourists could easily be spotted; usually they stuck out like a sore thumb, taking pictures of everything that Londoners found mundane - as they had seen it every day of their lives - such as Big Ben or the House of Lords, or the occasional red telephone box encased in its glass body or even a double decker bus.

But, while everyone around was being loud and peppy - at least during the day - at night it was something different. People weren't quite as loud, or as peppy, not now anyway. They were nervous. One could feel the tension. One could cut it with a knife. People were rushing to get home now, to get out of the street now, to be anywhere but out there now.

Well, not all people. As everyone was rushing, there was one person who was not. Eva was walking down the street. She stuck out more than the tourists did; it was not every day that one saw a young woman, clad in black and white, walking down the street. Her long skirt flowing, ruffling, the soft sound of her shoes tapping a casual tap - tap - tap rhythm on the cement sidewalk, and occasionally on the asphalt street. Her hands were laden with heavy grocery bags yet she did not appear impeded by their weight.

Tap-Tap-Tap. Her feet carried her along, walking in the opposite direction that everyone else was going, managing to maneuver her way through the crowd of people, across the street, past a cheery park - or, at least it was usually cheery during the day, now it just looked dark and gloomy and ominous - and towards a small side alley, a nice quick shortcut to get to her destination faster.

As the fair maid turned into the alley, several pairs of eyes turned to follow her and soon the rest of the bodies did too, as several individuals followed after the black and white clad young woman.

John planned to see the site later. Today he was more than just a tourist, though he did probably stick out. Not because he was wandering around taking pictures, but more likely for the package he was carrying and the stern expression on his face. He wasn't actually mad or anything, he was actually having a pretty good time. People watching was relaxing.

However, his expression became just a bit more firm when he noticed a figure clad in black and white wandering into an alleyway. The person walking through it must either be stupid, or suspicious. And while he hoped it was just the former, the latter seemed more likely, especially in such an eye-catching outfit.

Sighing he got up and moved to follow along. By the time he did, he was walking behind several other figures walking towards the woman in the made outfit. John internally cursed, and stayed back for now, keeping to the shadows to wait and see what happened next. He kept the long package in hand though. He also had a 1911 ready on his lower back beneath the coat he was wearing if he needed it. But as far as he could tell these were just a bunch of humans.

However, that was only at a glance.

He breathed in, taking in the scent of the group, and the woman. His nose was as keen as a bloodhound, which was why he had gained the code name "Bludhund", and why he was confident he would be able to quickly find the demons infesting this city. He could smell them out eventually.

Tap-tap-tap. Her footfalls echoed louder in this alley. She moved at an even pace, as if she were walking through the park, either oblivious to the world or completely unphased by it.

Tap-tap-tap. Those were not her footfalls. They were the footsteps of the men following her. There were several of them and they were moving, at first, rather slowly, keeping a distance. But as she vanished deeper into the alley, they moved a bit faster. One of them began to close the distance.

"Hey, little lady," his voice was deep, a strong baritone that would send a rumble through someone's core.

She slowed then stopped and peered to look at the ones following her. The one whom had spoken gave a cruel smirk, barely hidden in the dimly lit alley. He was taller than her. His shoulders were wide. His neck was thick and one could see the veins and the way his muscles tensed with every breath and every word he spoke.

"It's a bit dangerous to be walking alone at night, you know?" The man's words slithered off his tongue, his eyes almost shining. The color of his eyes, they were odd, resembling pools of liquid gold.

The woman's facial expression was blank. She was looking up at the man with the same disinterest that an adult would have when dealing with an overexcited child attempting to show them an insect they found in the yard.

The man's companions stepped up, a bit closer. They were not quite flanking the woman, yet they appeared to be edging their way to try and surround her.

"I am quite capable." Even her tone sounded bored.

The man frowned a bit, "Oh? A sweet thing like you? Can we help you, at least, with those heavy bags?" He took a step forward.

Her eyes swept from him to the man on the left of her to the man on the right. It was an almost calculating expression, yet her face remained blank. Though one could tell that her eyes, perhaps it was due to the way the light hit them, gave off a soft gleam, one that was easy to miss if one wasn't looking specifically for it.

"What do you say? We could even have some fun together." The man's words almost slurred together, his eyes almost giving off a soft hint of a glow.

"I do not require assistance." She turned away and began to continue walking once again.

"Tsk," The one that had been speaking lunged forward, moving with incredible speed to close the distance.

The woman's bags slid free from her hands and fell through the air. She moved her body to turn to face him. Just as he reached out, lunging for her, she grasped his wrist, his arm, then twisted her body around and with deft precision, the man's feet left the ground, his body swung through the air, and he was sent hurtling down the alley with the same ease as one would throwing a sack of potatoes, despite the visible size difference between the two of them.

He hit the ground, rolled, cursed, and then pulled himself up.

"No more games. Get the bitch!" His eyes openly pulsed with golden light as his fangs elongated, growing long and large, his nails stretching out, sharpening. The other men standing around, for a split second in shock only to turn to her and begin to charge towards the woman.

They were demons. But he was a little late to realize it, seeing as they started attacking the woman before he could really react.

However as he took in the scents of the scene, it became apparent that these were not the only demons in the area. Above them all, another group of demons watched and waited. Eyes and horns glowing with a fiery tint to them. But they did not move, not yet. They waited like wolves for one side or the other to weaken before they attacked.

But there was yet another smell in the air. One that was more potent than all the rest put together. It was foul and rotting. A demon in the shape of a fat man also stood above, watching and waiting. John could just barely make out the shape of the man above in the moonlight. Strangely, he was wearing the outfit of a farmer and even had a piece of straw poking out from his rotting teeth in an amused smile. He was picturesque. The perfect representation of a some fat hick hillbilly. The man scratched under an armpit before sniffing his fingers. He just seemed amused by the fight below, but like the other demons around him, just waited to see who would come out on top.

John was unsure what to do. But the woman seemed perfectly capable at the moment. These demons though intelligent, as far as demons went, were clearly lesser. For now he'd just stand back and let her handle these demonic thugs. Although their appearance was interesting, they almost looked like vampires didn't they? Or at least, he thought so.

The woman peered to see the other men charging toward her and ducked down, moving swiftly out of the grasp of the first one. He slid and skidded along the ground as she ducked and spun away from his grip, her skirt flaring, raising, fluttering as if she were a graceful dancer mid-step. She also grasped something, grabbed a can from one of the bags she had dropped and as she turned to face the other man charging toward her, she flung the can. The heavy looking can flew through the air and struck the man in the face, between the eyes, with a shocking amount of force. The can struck his face and he was knocked clear off his feet, landing hard on his back with a stifled cry of pain; and a loud crack of his head striking the pavement. Whether he was getting up from that, she did not appear to pay any mind as she turned to the other men that had gone to grab her.

She leapt away from them, moving fast on her feet, landing softly, almost silently, on the pavement, as she put some distance between herself and her would-be attackers.

"The hell is wrong with you? Grab the bitch!" The initial attacker hissed at his comrades, enraged at their failure to grab a simple maid.

He turned his golden eyes toward her just as she raised her hand and not one, or two, but three knives seemed to materialize in her grasp. "You got magic tricks?" He spat out.

"You can call it that." She flicked her wrist, the three knives hurtled through the air. Just as the two demons got up onto their feet, the knives struck one in the shoulder, knocking him back against the wall. The blade piercing flesh and pinning the demon to the wall as he hissed and howled. The other was struck between the eyes. The knife embedded itself into his skull. His eyes widening as he screeched in blinding pain before falling to the ground, face first into the ground, thus embedding the blade deeper into his cranium.

The third knife struck the initial attacker in the arm causing him to growl and snarl in pain and shock, as he reached to rip the blade out, only to quickly realize that just touching the blade sent pain coursing through his body once again.

"Silver?" He hissed in rage, turning his narrowed eyes toward her again.

He had to admit that watching the woman fighting these mooks was amusing. Seeing the can of peas bounce off the face of the man with a satisfying "chunk" had John practically vibrating in amusement as he fought to contain himself. He could not recall seeing anything so ridiculous before. Fighting with groceries of all things.

Watching the woman fight was certainly a show of grace for him. He certainly didn't possess the sort of finesse that woman did as she moved like a whirlwind. They couldn't seem to touch her, she outpaced them in every sense of the word.

And then she pulled out an interesting item, silver knives, and even more impressively, they split from one into three. He didn't think she had pulled multiple knives, there had truly only been a single one, and now there were many. What an interesting item.

He also reminded himself that he wanted to get a big knife to keep on himself at some point. Another demon hunter he met had carried around a kukri, and while he didn't want that knife specifically, he did want one like it. Big and scary to get stabbed by in close range when his sword was too big to do the job in confined spaces, and he could use it in his off hand with the pistol he carried.

A whirlwind was an apt description of the woman. Her body moved with a speed and a grace that was almost like a dancer, spinning and twirling as she ducked, dodged, and leapt out of the grasps of the very determined men. Her dress fluttering, audibly and visibly, wildly around her as she moved.

The enraged man, the one not laying on the ground with a knife in his skull or pinned to the wall and unable to pry himself free, tossed the knife to the ground. Mainly because simply holding it was sending pain coursing throughout his body, his hand was practically sizzling and smoking just from holding that knife and he didn't want to hold it anymore.

"I was hoping to take you in one piece. But, now, I think they'll be fine with you in pieces all the same." His enraged words dripped with venom and hatred.

"You're not here alone. Yet you think you can take me on by yourself. You must think highly of yourself..." The woman spoke calmly, almost monotone. "If you think you can take me, I suggest you call your partners down. It will take all of you to take me down."

It seemed that two more humanoid figures had joined the first one on the roof. Three large men stood together. The redneck, another in a black coat that seemed like it might be made of bear fur and a hat, and the last wearing another coat with an even taller hat and coat with a scarf. Compared to the first man the next two seemed more refined somehow. And yet something about all of them felt similar. At least to John.

Ah, their scents. They all smelled the same, though the first man was by far the most smelly of the three. He had a lazy atmosphere about him, while the other seemed to have put more effort into their appearance to seem like they were part of society. But they all shared a similar demon stink that John detected.

However as the woman made it clear that she had detected them up above, it seemed they decided that they had enough waiting.

The demonic goats began to leap down from the roofs, a dozen of them swarming about. But they didn't go for the woman right away. Instead, they went for the bodies already on the ground, and the injured vampires, save for the last one she was facing. Attacking those that were pinned or dying and consuming them with oddly sharp teeth even though they looked like sheep.

The three men above didn't seem intent on joining in just yet. Letting the sheep handle things below for now.

The sheep however should not be much more dangerous than the vampire, and certainly less intelligent. They did not possess the ability to transform and hide their true forms, they were just strong devil sheep. And they let loose a baying cry before charging at the last vampire and the woman.

However as two of the sheep charged the woman, shots rang out through the dark alley. John held his smoking pistol as a pair of bullets took two of the devil sheep, tearing through the head of one, and the throat of the other. Finally deciding to make himself known to them all.

This was becoming quite the party. They had a variety of enemies to deal with it seemed between the vampire-like men, the devil goats, and the smelly demons who continued to wait and watch above it all.

She had detected their presence. Perhaps it was because she was good at what she did, because she had been properly trained, or because one of those men smelled awful. In fact, his scent managed to overpower the natural stink of the alley which she had taken, all as a means to lure the demons out of hiding. That alone was another way she knew that the group of men whom had followed along behind her had not come alone. It also did not make much sense to her, why only these men on the ground? No, there had to be more of them. Lo and behold, she was correct. From up above, more of them came leaping into the fray; yet, these did not run for her. They went for the downed bodies.

Anyone else, any common person, would have seen the display of cannibalism and been disgusted, horrified, reacted in some way. However, despite the gruesome sight before her, her face remained blank the entire time, even as flesh was torn away from bone and the creature's fed to their black heart's content.

There were still more. She could hear something, grumbling was it? Someone was saying something, though she could not hear the exact words.

The two sheep screamed, a baying ear numbing sound, and charged. Two shots. They had barely gotten several feet before one went backward, knocked clear off his feet as half of his face disintegrated into a cloud of gray matter, bone dust, blood, and viscera. The second was knocked aside, his throat gushing with gore as he attempted to scream but no sound came out except for gurgles.

Was someone else joining this little party? She turned, peering over as she followed the trajectory of the bullets back to their source. He was standing there, holding a smoking firearm. The demons turned their attention to him too, angry hisses and howls ripped through the air.

For a half second, the demons were distracted. They were too busy paying attention to the newcomer. They didn't notice the woman moving; she was fast. She had managed to leap from the ground, atop a big metal dumpster, up off the dumpster, onto a fire escape and raced up and then leapt off the fire escape and into the air. She moved with such agility and grace. Her black and white dress fluttering and flapping in the wind as she appeared to be grabbing at her dress and raising it.

What the Hell kind of show was this - the demons appeared startled, under the dress several guns emerged and a rapid fire hail of bullets rained down atop the demons on the roof top. Whether they were quick enough to dodge, she didn't consider it. She wanted to catch them off guard and she had managed to do that. She landed atop the roof, several yards away from them, skirt raised up guns still firing upon the demons; how many weapons did this damned woman have?

The demons were surprised when the well-armed maid reached the rooftop. Hell, even John was a little surprised by the display of eye-catching acrobatics, and he'd gotten more than an eyeful of what the emotionless maid hid under her dress. He was frankly in the perfect position to see everything, guns and all.

He certainly didn't expect to get that kind of site tonight, but he'd take it as a small unintentional bonus. The sight was far from displeasing. The lady had some very nice thighs. (Though that was probably by design.)

The demons on the rooftops screamed out as they were riddled with bullets. However, they were tougher than the minor demons she had been dealing with up till then.

Their shrieks became deeper as their bodies swelled and grew, all three of the demons revealing their true forms as they rushed the woman. However, they were big, slow, clunky, ugly creatures. At least compared to her.

Her bullets were dealing damage, however perhaps less than she might have liked. These demons were a few steps above the lesser demons she had been facing, and now she had the attention of three of them. Bullets punched into their thick piggy hides but probably didn't have the kind of punch needed to deal truly vital damage. It was likely equivalent to bee stings for them, in human terms. Painful, annoying, but non-lethal.

One of the three pigs ripped away part of a nearby brick chimney to toss at her, the other two continued running at her. However, at their current size, the roofs under their feet groaned ominously. It could barely handle the weight of each ten-foot-tall giant pig demon chasing after her.

Meanwhile, John was handling the sheep below, deciding to let the woman above him handle (or at least distract) the big pig demons for now, while he made short work of the sheep charging at him. Bullet after bullet hit them, leaving them dead on the ground before they melted away into a fine black mist, leaving little trace except for a little blood each time one of the sheep died.

Well, they had all gotten somewhat of a peek under that long flowing dress; the woman wasn't just packing what appeared to be a small arsenal of weapons under that garment. The woman also had long legs for days. Her calves, her thighs, the woman's body was quite shapely, a perfect match for the eye catching agility she had displayed down in the alley and now, once again, up there on the roof. The woman wasn't just running here to there, she wasn't just launching herself, she was almost dancing with a grace unnatural to this world, an agility that looked into the face of gravity and scoffed.

It was almost humorous how even the demons, whom she had rained a hail of bullets upon, had taken a split second to admire the woman's legs and thighs as if, for that tiny space of time, the woman was just somehow paused in mid-air and it gave them that glimpse that any man would love to be given and then pain.

The howls and screeches of the demons, riddled with bullets, filled the air. The woman's feet tapping down onto the rooftop barely made a noise.

The CRUNCH of the brick shattering and the creature hefting it up into the air caught the woman's attention and she ran towards the demons, not away from them, and just as the creature chucked the chimney, she ducked, swooping low, tucking into a roll as the mass of stone and bricks and mortar flew overhead. The creatures so caught up in the spectacle of the woman's movements, the tuck and roll that they did not perceive, for a moment, the woman's swiftness. She had not just ducked and dodged under the chucked chimney, she put herself in a perfect position, and as their eyes fell upon her again, they also fell upon another gun?

The woman had pulled a gun from God only knows where - apparently her lower back (?) under the blouse she wore, how many weapons did this woman have? It was a heavy and large weapon, a full sized revolver, the build of which was unlike nothing they'd ever seen. And before they could take a second to be surprised, let alone to examine the weapon, the woman pulled the trigger. She squeezed it, and CRACK, the air was rent under the booming roar of the firearm.

The sheer stopping power behind that weapon outclassed the potency of the rapid fire guns under her dress - the gun dress had a rapid fire function, it could pump out a seemingly endless supply of bullets in rapid time but this dress had power - and the nearest one of them would feel it immediately as the knock back alone would send him hurtling through the air, a gaping hole on his shoulder that would seemingly explode out the back as blood, sinew, viscera, and bone fragments scattered through the air and what was left of his shoulder seemed to disintegrate into nothing, his arm falling to the rooftop with a sickening PLOP.

There certainly was plenty to admire, though, in the case of the demons who took in her legs, they probably liked her legs for a very different reason than John might. Mainly because they were probably more interested in eating her than exploring her. That was assuming she was human of course. Whatever she was made of, probably would not taste or feel that good to bite.

Her display of agility was certainly impressive. Between her speed and her gymnastic skills, she was put on a majestic display fit to impress anyone.

Ducking under the chimney thrown at her, and unloading a powerful bullet into the shoulder of the large demon like that. It, as well as the other two demons, were enormously shocked. And then enraged.

The remaining two demons charged at her with the intention of tearing her relentlessly apart. However, she wasn't alone in this fight.

Down below John had killed the sheep coming after him, putting his sword to good use and cleaving away at the charging horde before sheathing his sword on his back, then drawing his pistol, and just... Jumping to the roof behind the pig demons.

Unlike the woman, he wasn't especially agile. Quicker than the average human maybe, but what he did have in spades was his strength. The spot where he had jumped from was cracked from the force of his legs pushing against the ground to launch him to the rooftops high above.

He pointed his 1911 at the dazed and screaming demon she had already shot, putting a bullet through its head, which punched easily through its hide and tough skull to hit the brain under it all.

His gun was much less impressive than her hand cannon of a weapon, but his bullets still had plenty of punch to them. While they would not blow a demon apart, they would punch through them. Maybe even punch through multiple demons if he aimed just right.

However, guns were not his specialty. His sword was. But he at least knew how to shoot straight, and so took aim before shooting at the back of the two pig demons charging Eva. His bullets punched through their flesh, and deep into their bodies. However, unlike her gun, his bullets didn't knock them back or transfer much kinetic force. They didn't seem to slow down in the slightest.

However, they did take some serious damage from the bullets all the same. It was just that compared to his sword, or her gun, it felt no more painful than her skirt guns had been. A small stinging sensation, but little else. Even though the wounds that he made were much deeper than the surface.

Movement. The woman never stopped moving. Every second she was up there, she was moving. As soon as the woman raised her weapon and unloaded several devastating shots towards the demons there was a temporary silence - it was strange. The loud explosive gunshots followed by what felt like a long pregnant silence. The arm of the demon falling, hitting the ground, twitching and spasming as if the muscles were still reacting in pain from being severed from the rest of the body, and then the roars of rage from the demons. Then the hail of bullets from John. One of the demons hit the ground, a hole having been blown through its skull.

And the whole time, the maid did not stop moving. She was still zipping left and right, dodging the demons as one was charging toward her, flinging anything it could get its hands on at her, pieces of chimney and other pieces of structural components such as an AC unit, she bobbed and weaved out of the way then charged straight at the enraged demon. By that point, all that remained of its logical side of its brain was out for lunch, it wanted to tear her to pieces for the pain and annoyance she had caused and then it would get its claws into John. Yes, that was the plan.

The woman moved once more. She spun around a twisted and bent AC unit, the heavy metal object slammed into the ground and shattered into a hundred pieces as the woman moved, her skirt flaring and fluttering and then the creature howled. As she had spun, more of those glistening shining knives had been flung. The creature felt them piercing into its body. Its shoulder, its chest, and one struck it in the eye.

Yet she continued to move and the beast began to rip the knives out of its body. It raised one of the knives up into the air, ready to bring it down onto her and she ducked. No. She didn't duck. She had been charging toward it and she slid, like a baseball player, across the ground, underneath its blow, between its legs, all the while she raised her weapon up and unloaded not one, not two, but three rounds. One struck the creature in the wrist; it's hand was severed, spraying the rooftop in blood. The other struck the creature in the shoulder, and part of its shoulder disappeared in a mist of blood and viscera, and as the creature roared in hatred and pain, the last round struck its jaw, and the top half of its head, half of its head to be honest as half the top of his head remained in broken pieces, vanished from existence. The roar cut off and the creature slumped onto the ground in a heavy heap just as she pulled herself up to her feet and turned to peer down at the body.

The fair maid then turned to face John now; as the last of the demons was charging toward him now.

John could not recall seeing many if any women such as this one who had ever moved with such calm, precise, and elegant movements. In that sense she was utterly overwhelming, slipping around the attacks aimed at her with perfect pristine movements. It was a dance. If he had not known better it would have almost seemed choreographed.

There was a rather strange fluttering from within him as he watched her when he could. Captivated by the movement, and then by her eyes when she looked at him.

He was so captivated in fact that he made a fool of himself at that moment when a large pig fist smashed into the side of his face and sent him flying off the roof where he had been standing, and sent him crashing through the statue of a fountain where he lay, momentarily dazed by the impacts to his head and body. He let loose a low groan while collecting himself there on the ground and slowly sat up.

Frankly even the pig demon that had charged and punched the man paused in vague surprise that it had essentially gotten a free hit. It was as clean a blow as the pig could have asked for. It lifted its fist and squealed in triumph as if declaring its pleasure, or perhaps even it's victory. It was a silly thing to do with the mechanical woman still nearby.

The demons were dropping like flies, one by one they were taken down with ruthless efficiency, and now only one remained. This particular demon was filled with seething hatred, rage, and was visibly foaming at the mouth. His biceps flexed and the veins in his forearms bulged as he glared daggers at the swiftly moving menace of a woman and the power house of a man whom he now had to call his opponents. This demon was alone. And that is when the pig saw the opening of a lifetime.

The man was distracted. It went for him. One punch and the man was sent flying through the air, off the roof top, and crashing against the side of a statue that stood at the center of a beautiful fountain.

The pig demon had almost expected the attack not to land. Thus far, both of its opponents had been able to deal with the pig demons' attacks. The woman was obnoxiously spry, her movements unnaturally graceful and as the creature stood there in shock, awe, and triumph, it took a half a second to contemplate on the fact that the entire time that he and his brethren dealt with these two, he never once heard the woman's footfalls. He heard her ruffling skirt, and he heard the way her guns fired, round after round, but the demon had never heard her feet tapping along the rooftop or even the alley floor. It was as if she had floated on air from the moment she was spotted and followed.

The maid was perplexed by what she had just witnessed. Her face remaining cool and calm, serene, almost expressionless, and yet she turned to look at the downed man; her eyes conveying far more emotion than the rest of her features, curiosity, surprise, perhaps even concern? It was hard to tell.

The pig demon did not get long to celebrate his triumph. As it stood there, squealing, it turned as it heard a sound that sent a shiver racing down his spine, the sound of a hammer being cocked. It turned, the weapon the woman was wielding was pointed at the pig's head, less than arm's length away.

A cracking boom and the creature's head disappeared in a cloud of skull and brain matter, a spray of blood, a Jackson Pollock of red spattered almost artistically across the floor, and the body dropped like a sack of potatoes, rolled somewhat, then fell off the edge of the building down to the alley below.

Turning then to face Jack, the woman stood on the edge of the rooftop, "That looked like it hurt. Do you want to ice your face? I have some frozen peas you can use."

By the time he picked himself up, it seemed the battle was over. The vampires were dealt with, the sheep were dealt with, and the pigs were dealt with.

He looked up to the woman as she made her offer and gave a light sheepish smirk. From where she stood she might not be able to make out his expression. He'd never been especially good at physically displaying his emotions. Although it might still be more emotion than the woman herself was displaying. Showing concern without showing it on her face. Was she like him in that sense then? Bad at expressions?

"I'll be fine, I'm a half-demon. I heal from damage nearly as quickly as anyone can cause it to me." He noted lightly with amusement before leaping back up to the roof with her. Displaying the casual strength his body held being able to leap from the ground up to the tall roofs above.

"Nice work though. You were truly something to watch. I have never seen moves quite like those before. Elegant." He noted lightly with a little nod.

"Did you know some of them were after you? Or were you purposefully acting as bait walking down an alleyway like that?" He asked, doubting anyone would walk down a dark alley like that by accident, or simply to take a shortcut. He was a half-demon, practically immune to the kind of damage the average human could cause him, and he still likely would not have wandered down an alley to save time. But with a purpose in mind, he would have.

When he got up, and it looked as if it had maybe taken minimal effort, the woman gave him one more look over. Perhaps she was concerned for his physical well being? Perhaps she was making sure that he was not, in fact, seriously injured by that final blow from the pig and was just trying to play it off in a show of machismo? It was hard to tell with her. She watched him, however, and when he approached, she took his words, listened, and then nodded.

"I had a distinct feeling that I had been watched for some time now; for several blocks, in fact, I had felt a curious sensation in the back of my neck. That feeling you get when you know someone's watching, just out of sight. I had not seen them. But, I could still sense them. It was uncomfortable. I decided to see if they would make their presence known if I made myself as enticing a target as possible." That would explain the decision to wander aimlessly into a darkened alley like some stereotypical horror movie damsel throwing herself in front of the chopping axe of a serial killer. Except she was luring the killer out. "Most demons are unimaginably simple creatures; if they see an easy target, they go for it. Exploiting this is what makes hunting them that much easier."

He wondered if she was just especially perceptive, or if there was some ability she possessed to identify when she was being followed. He assumed the prior though. Given her skill set and her looks, he imagined she was followed by demons and humans alike. And considering her weapons she was more than well equipped to deal with anything that came her way except perhaps an especially powerful demon.

The pig demons in particular stood out, being strong and durable as far as demons went. Those were at least a were stronger than the sheep and the thrall which they had battled against. Although assuming that the vampire-like demons were anything like the old fantasy that depicted them, then they certainly had a much more powerful master somewhere up the line commanding them to attack this woman. The vampire attack on her might have been a coincidence, but he rather doubted it.

The pigs and sheep however, John had been aware of this group of demons, having come to investigate the attacks that had taken place, and recognizing the scent of them in the area. The pig demon in particular had an especially potent noxious scent that would have been hard not to recognize.

"Humans aren't that much more complicated than demons in their tactics, usually." He noted lightly. "Anyway, we should get off these roofs. No doubt we've made quite the racket, and it's getting late. People will come to investigate and it would be best not to be here when authorities arrive. We should grab your groceries and go." He said gesturing down, before moving to drop back to the ground with a thud and a crunch as his feet hit the ground, cracking the stone where had landed before walking over to where she had dropped her bags earlier and waiting for her.

"My name is John, by the way, John Black. And your name?" He asked, obviously interested. And they would have a bit of time to chat while working to get out of the area. He could already hear sirens in the distance quickly approaching the area.

He didn't see any people around, and the houses around them were quiet. And if course it was very dark. Still between the shooting Eva and John did, it probably sounded like a massive gunfight had taken place. Especially considering her gun dress which had let loose that barrage of bullets. She was a one woman firing squad with that kind of firepower.

"Yes, humans do tend to be quite simple to deal with," Humans were, after all, merely intelligent animals. "But there is a certain amount of leeway when it comes to humans; they can be quite unpredictable... sometimes. But those times are quite rare." Humans, as they matured, were trained and taught but they were animals nonetheless. Figuring out motives, or guessing their next course of action, was not as difficult as some would believe it to be. Only one with an intense amount of narcissism would believe that they were so smart that their moves couldn't be predicted, or, perhaps, one with a certain amount of heightened or advanced intelligence and foreknowledge? Still, he was correct, being up there on the roof, after having caused so much commotion would only lead to unwanted attention.

As he leapt down from the rooftop and down to the ground below, the silver haired woman followed suit, moving with the expected amount of agility and grace one would come to expect from her after having watched her almost dance-like fighting style against the now, very dead, demon pigs and their cohorts. It was still strange, that as she landed, her feet barely made any noise on the ground.

Walking over to the scattered groceries, the graceful woman began to pick them up. Thankfully, only one of the bags had been ruptured, and the other still had plenty of room to carry items. "John Black, pleasure," She placed the fallen groceries into the bag and once they were all picked up, with his help, she picked it up as if it weighed nothing despite the fact that it definitely didn't. "Evangelium Rivers, most know me as Eva, however, so you may use whichever you see fit. If you wish to accompany me, I am walking back home to the manor; I doubt we'll run into anymore of these pigs, but just in case, I would not mind some assistance in dealing with any unforeseen circumstance."
